People will really tell you that they hated their public school experience, that they were bullied and mistreated and the administration never did anything, that they were never taught anything useful, etc., and yet a soon as you even suggest any form of alternative schooling to them, especially homeschooling, they’re all “bUt HoW wIlL yOuR kIdS bE sOcIaLiZeD aNd LeArN tHiNgS????” It really speaks to the insidious and effective nature of statist brainwashing that even people who admit to hitting the system simply cannot fathom a world without it, even despite the fact that the public school system as we know it today hasn’t even existed for 100 years, and people were educating children in the home for a literal centuries.
